Hey everyone! Sorry for silence on my part, it’s been crazy the last couple of weeks. However, I am back!
My friend, Allison, tagged me for the Liebster Award. Check out her blog here: https://allisongracewrites.com
The rules:
#1: Acknowledge the blogger who gave it to you and display the award.
#2: Answer 11 questions that the blogger gave you.
#3: Give 11 random thoughts about yourself.
#4: Nominate 11 other bloggers and notify them of their nominations.
#5: Ask your nominees 11 questions.
The questions are in bold and my answers in regular type.
1. Do you enjoy yard work?
I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. I guess it’s more of, I’ll do it if I have to, but it’s not my favorite thing to do. XD
2. If you could repaint your bedroom, what color would it be?
Well, you see, I love the color it is now. A lovely sea-blue color. I honestly don’t know if I’d ever paint it any other color.
3. Have you ever been to the Pacific Ocean?
Yes.
4. What is your favorite Narnia book/movie?
Book? Probably The Horse and His Boy. Moviewise, probably any one of the BBC adaptions and The Lion and the Witch and the Wardrobe from Disney.
5. In general, do you like books or movies better?
I like them both in different ways. I love books, always have. It has to be a very good movie for me to love it, especially when it’s a book adaption. 😉
6. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Hands down, the UK. Probably forever.
7. Why did you start blogging?
I have no idea. The idea sounded cool and I went with it. *shrugs awkwardly*
8. Have you ever been skiing?
Nope, and not too interested in doing it either. ;P
9. Do you have any autographed books? If so, which one(s)?
I have Java Ho! by Johan Fabricius. It’s out of print, but it’s a great adventure classic. Then I have Behind Her Mask Was Death by Aria Maher, He’s Making Diamonds by S.G. Willoughby, and Oath and the Outcast by C.M. Banschbach.
10. Are you afraid of spiders?
As much as Samwise Gamgee is.
11. Would you rather eat shrimp ice cream or a bacon milkshake? Why?
A bacon milkshake because I like bacon and I hate most seafood. I’ll eat shrimp, but only if necessary for survival. It’s disgusting.
And now for eleven random thoughts about myself:

And now for the Tell The Story Challenge!
The rules:
Pick an image out of the choices.
Write a short story, poem, or whatever that applies to that image.
Choose some other bloggers to do the same challenge.
Give your nominees a few more images to choose from.
I chose the image below and wrote the poem beneath it.
The morning dawn
Breaks across the sky,
The sunlight sparkling on
The sea of tears I’ve cried.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to,
Far across the sea.
Daylight glimmers
From high above,
Blindingly brilliant;
Such was our love.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to,
Far across the sea.
You fled to America,
Escaping the famine here;
Yet you left me behind
And I am full of tears.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to,
Far across the sea.
I sometimes wonder
If you’ll ever return;
Though I’ve remained faithful,
All other offers I’ve spurned.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to,
Far across the sea.
Daylight now is fading,
The sun setting fast,
Yet still I’m waiting
Though all is dust at last.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to
Far across the sea.
There a lonely grave
Solitary on a hill
Empty, yet soon to be filled,
Yet I am waiting still.
Across a vast ocean
Deep as my love for thee
Lies the land you sailed to,
Far, far across the sea.
So there you have it!
